Item Memórias de Capitu: perspectivas(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2024-07-08) Santos, Daniele Cunha dos; Azevedo, Kenedi Santos; Azevedo, Kenedi Santos; Arruda, Maria Ozana Lima de; Barroso, Renato RégisThe aim of this work was to visualize the intertextual relations existing in the works: Capitu Posthumous Memories (2005), by Domício Proença Filho, and The Audacity of this Woman (1999), by Ana Maria Machado, with the work Dom Casmurro (1899), by Machado de Assis. From second-hand literature, the creation of such works took place, while Proença Filho in his narrative works directly with Machado de Assis's version, bringing a rereading of the classic novel and giving voice to the enigmatic character Capitu. Maria Machado works with real history and partly with fiction, mixing the past and the present, questioning the story told by Bentinho and seeking to unveil the truth behind Capitu's image as an adulteress. So, the main focus of this article is to address the representation of the character Capitu in the two works, subsequent to the realist novel, in order to better understand her.Item Pajubá : o código linguístico da comunidade LGBT(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2017-06-30) Barroso, Renato Régis; Martins, Valteir; Martins, Valteir; Silva, Raynice Geraldine Pereira da; Matos, MaurícioThis work presents an anthropological linguistic study, which proposes to analyze the spoken code used by the LGBT community, more precisely, the pajuba, originating from the contact between the Yoruba African language and the Portuguese language with a little use of French, English and Indian language. As an objective, our research aimed at the analysis of it as a linguistic code of resistance used by the homoaffective community, making a survey of the items that enter into its formation and its linguistic peculiarities; as well as to trace it way towards anthropology in order to show its importance in the process of the Bourgeois habitus. We also study their relationship with sociolinguistics in the process of euphemizing the pornographic phrases spoken by homosexuals, and how this code helps in the fight against homophobia. Data for the research were collected through individual and group interviews, experience reports and virtual polls with participants from the homosexual and heterosexual communities, ranging in age from 18 to 63 years. In the end, as results, we seek to prove the pajuba as a slang and its importance in the identity process of the LGBT community. Key-words: pajuba; slang; gay.
