Despertando o olhar científico no ensino de biologia para jovens e adultos (EJA)

The need for including innovative ideas into the current model of Adult Education (EJA), is a required task in order to renew teaching standards. In this sense, the objective was to discuss the possibility to carry out experimental activities in Biology teaching in EJA, contributing to the development of scientific knowledge. The activities were carried out with freshman classes from a public high school, based on the dialogic expository didactic modality, complemented with laboratory practice activities, involving students in issues related to their daily lives. The activities developed in the laboratory addressed previously studied contents, thus stimulating the thinking and knowledge of students through the preparation and visualization of biological materials with laboratory tools, aiming to improve the teaching-learning process on the themes developed in classroom. Therefore, through a qualitative analysis, we obtained positive results proving the efficiency in the implementation of the pedagogical practices, in order to achieve a meaningful learning.
