Item Percepções de alunos do ensino médio politécnico sobre tecnologia: um estudo de caso.(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2018-01-02) Rodrigues, Talissa Cristini Tavares; Ferraro, José Luís Schifino; Harres, João Batista SiqueiraThe present study was developed with 120 students, distributed in 24 groups, aged between 16 and 17 years old, attending the last year of Polytechnic High School in a public school in Porto Alegre. The objective was to investigate a students' conception / ideas about technology and its transformation in society over the centuries. The students' discourse enabled three categories: (1) relation between science, knowledge and technology; (2) technology effects on human behavior; (3) technology and health. The students' discourse showed that in the 21st century technology is very present in everyday life that we can consider it a cultural manifestation. It is also possible to observe in this discourse the recognition that, although technology has helped society to progress, today, this process reversed. The present study corroborates the insertion of the term technology, as a discussion for all knowledge's areas addressed in the High School curriculum, be it Polytechnic or regular, considering that, in the fragmented knowledge that perpetuates in schools, the conception about The term is restricted a product of the science.
