The practice of birdwatching is an activity that has grown considerably in recent years all over the world. Considering the vast field of birdwatching and Environmental Education, the present study sought to understand the relationship between the importance of urban birdwatching to the practice of Environmental Education. Thus, the study is divided in distinct moments: initially was performed the bibliographic survey about the bird species, the urban neighborhoods in the Initially, a bibliographical survey was made about bird species, urban neighborhoods in the southern part of the city of Manaus, and also about Environmental Education. It was noticed in this trajectory with the students that before the delivery of the questionnaire with the birds, they didn't know and didn't often observe the birds that that are close to the place where they live, however, after the delivery and after the visit the answers found in the questionnaires changed a lot, surprising even the students themselves. even the students themselves. We conclude that the practice of birdwatching has a vast applied in Environmental Education, aroused the curiosity of students and consequently contributed to the consequently contributed to the teaching-learning process of the same, because the difference between the first and the second questionnaire, besides the involvement of these students in the search for knowledge and practice of Environmental Education.
