Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, Manaus, 2024.https://ri.uea.edu.br/handle/riuea/7096There is a need to provide dance teaching-learning in school that goes beyond the traditional model, stimulating the different ways of seeing, feeling, thinking and moving the body. In this scenario, the importance of approaching dance and corporal games as an essence to enhance exploration in movement and strengthen the self- confidence of elementary school students is evident. This study also sought: a) to observe possibilities of exploring student’s body movements through games, playfully, enabling a singular expressive movement; b) to deepen the knowledge of the Art of dance from new bodily possibilities; and c) to evaluate the influence of corporal games with regard to the self-confidence developed in the students from the dance classes. The methodology used to compose the study began with observation, and then the games were proposed and practiced.
