With the objective of understanding in the process of adaptation, the challenges and possibilities in the entrance of the child in the nursery. The entrance of the child into the Maternal Child Education is a milestone in the life of the child, represents a line, is the departure of the family environment for experiences of a new world, shared between challenges and possibilities. The problematic is based on understanding how the process of adaptation occurs in the entrance of the child in the Maternal Child Education. This is a qualitative research, with a phenomenological approach, emphasizing participant observation, having a degree of closeness to the children and the context of the research. The data were collected through direct observation, in order to know the reality that we propose to investigat. It was necessary the semi-structured interview, the informal conversation with the children that served as subsidies for an analysis of the data collected about the researched reality. As theorists who guided the research Vygotsky (1991), Kramer (2003), Friedmann (2012), Craidyand Kaercher (2001), Moyles (2010), Chizzotti (2006) and Fazenda(2010) a better understanding of the researched topic. Thus, he pointed out that there are many challenges faced by children and by all those involved.
