In this investigation, the Heliodoro Balbi Square (Manaus, Amazonas) was the main object of study, as well as its surroundings. Therefore, the main objective was: to analyze the tourist attractiveness of the public place Heliodoro Balbi Square. And as for the specific objectives: to rescue the historicity of Praça Heliodoro Balbi and the relationship with the protected built heritage of its surroundings; evaluate the tourist and support infrastructure of the public place and its surroundings; and interpret the elements that would integrate the possible tourist potential of Heliodoro Balbi Square. As for the methodological procedures, the research is qualitative with exploratory determination. Data collection was applied from the observation technique with consultation in documentary collections such as the internet and physical books. The data collection instrument used was prepared based on the Guimarães (2021) Observation Form, containing systematized interpretive elements, making it possible to analyze the square as an element of tourist attractiveness. The data indicate that there is tourist potential in the square, and it is up to the government to develop urban tourism in the city of Manaus.
