Yet, it has become increasingly necessary not only to know how to read and write, but also to make use of these skills in day-to-day activities. In view of the above, we find in the textual music genre a strong ally for the literacy process. That is, in the capacity that the subject develops when mastering the reading and writing show how this genre can be an instrument that facilitates literacy in two 9th grade classes from a Public School in the Municipality of Maués-AM. To this end, it was based on bibliographic research using authors such as Solé (1998), Kleiman (2002), Martins (2006), Cosson (2014), Marcuschi (2002), Costa (2002, 2003) among others. For being a field research We opted for a qualitative approach because the type of investigation presents observation and analysis of reality in a natural way, but at the same time complex and contextualized.
