It’s noticeable the pursuit for national, independent, alternatives and foreign movies that don’t make to the big screens, in this case the movie theaters located inside shopping malls. Entering the scene, the open-air cinemas, in Manaus, the most popular currently is the Cine Casarão, at the Casarão de Ideias, located in Manaus’ historic center. This piece of work has as its objective perform a case study on the Casarão de Ideias, performing a data collection on its film history, tracing a profileand identifying the goer public’s interest and identifying the motivations of the owner related to the respective movie theater.Online interviews were made, using the Google Forms tool, trying to get more information about the history and future plans for the cultural space, interviewing the owner of the place, João Fernandes, in person, and to finish cataloging the displayed productions on Cine Casarão, starting in October of 2017 until November of 2021, dividing the productions in full-length , short-legnth, if they were exhibited in showcases or festivals and the Wednesday classics, which have free entry. This study revealed that the most of the interviwees belong to the LGBTQIA+ group, it’s composed by women and people with the age between 19-29, as for the exhibited Productions, 223 are brazilian or count with a brazilian coproduction and in relation to the interview it was possible to understand that the Cine Casarão emerged from a desire to exhibit a dance movie, which took the director to be interested and study about opening an alternative cinema room in Manaus and about the future plan, it’s the expansion, make this type of cinema reach places that they’re not in yet.Acesso Abertosétima artecinema de ruaespaço culturallazerManausTrabalho de Conclusão de CursoCiências EconômicasTurismo
