Thus, this article proposes the use of raps in the classroom, emphasizing Emicida's documentary made from the last released album "AmarElo". To develop this work, we chose four central songs to analyze and promote debates, specifically on Afro-Brazilian history and culture, based on laws 10.639/03 and 11.645/08 that make the teaching of African and Indigenous History and Culture mandatory in the curriculum school. In addition, the lyrics of the songs are full of meanings and address important social themes for the production of knowledge. We used authors such as Righi (2011), Pimentel (1997) and Costa (2013).
