This is an exploratory, qualitative research, through a literature review, using the SciELO and Google Scholar databases. There were seven articles chosen for qualitative analysis, but only three were used and compared in the discussion of the results. Based on the studies analyzed, it was possible to simulate several characteristics of the experimental test in mathematical models. The modeling used was successful in quantifying the concentrations of oxygen and carbon dioxide present in the blood. The tiny number of articles found relating to the topic interferes in a limiting way with the conclusions of this review. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out new studies in order to analyze how mathematical modeling can be used in the blood oxygenation process, as well as to update studies on this topic.Acesso AbertoMatemática; Modelação Matemática; Oxigenação.Mathematics; Mathematical Modeling; Oxygenation.Modelagem matemática na oxigenação do sangueTrabalho de Conclusão de Curso
