Therefore, it is essential that individuals are literate scientifically and technologically. Based on these considerations, we seek with this work contributes to students’ scientific and technological literacy through thematic workshop “Water pollution from domestic sewage: eutrophication process” in a Science-Technology-Society (STS) perspective. Developed within the scope of curricular component Supervised Internship III, in which the design, preparation and implementation of thematic workshops in Chemistry classes for the 1st year of High school in the city of Tefé. This included activities such as interview script, guiding questions, lecture and experimentation. Thematic workshop activities enable the exploration of students’ prior knowledge, which contributed to understanding the theme, enabling students to (re)signify the problem with a more critical reading, active participation in workshop activities, argumentation from experimentation, essential for conscious decision-making, in addition to helping students in the social perception of the topic discussed.
