The objective was to analyze the factors related to non-adherence of women in the preventive examination in the city of Parintins-Am. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach, developed in the Basic Health Unit Francisco Galiane, the population of this study consisted of 18 women in the age group from 19 to 59 years of age. The analysis of the data made possible the distribution of the content in four analytical categories that indicate the reasons for noncompliance with the Pap test. It is concluded that the study highlights the reasons for adherence to the preventive, enabling actions that reverses such a situation and thereby reduce the mortality rate due to this pathology.
