A problemática dos resíduos sólidos na área rural: o caso da agrovila de Mocambo do Arari, Parintins-AM

The objective of this study was to study solid waste production in the Agrovila of São João Batista do Mocambo do Arari, Parintins-AM. It is a case study to address the problem of solid waste in Agrovila do Mocambo. The research of comparative and quantitative / qualitative analysis was aimed at verifying the high production of solid residues in this community. In this way, we can see the types of waste most produced, through the activities that produce the most solid waste. Comparative analyzes of the most sold food products in the Agrovila trade were carried out with the most purchased by the resident families. In addition, the final waste disposal sites identified as the junk bin were identified. For the collection of information, questionnaires, informal interviews, and empirical observation were used. So data collection was recorded in charts and tables. It resulted in the high production of solid waste in the community, where the final destination occurs with deposition in inappropriate places where the waste is burned. These activities are due to the lack of public trash in the community, forcing the residents to constitute garbage dumps. This is mainly because the issue of the problem of waste in rural communities is not discussed.
