Item A teoria do Espaço Turístico de Boullón: aplicação para formatação de um roteiro turístico fluvial da orla de Manaus/AM(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2019-06-27) Simões, Tamires Gonçalves; Batista, Selma Paula Maciel; Batista, Selma Paula Maciel; Guimarães, Márcia Raquel Cavalcante; Souza, Maria Arminda Castro Mendonça deFrom the west to the east, the urban border of Manaus is composed of cultural and natural elements that portray the history of the Manauara people. However, some of these elements, due to lack of information or a specialized look, are less valued than others. With this approach, based on an experience in lessons of field of Geography Applied to Tourism, we sought to materialize, in this monograph, the tourism potential identified with the practice. The reference of the Urban Tourism Space Theory of Roberto C. Boullón (2002) used to read the landscape of the Urban Border of Manaus; with contributions from local authors for the collection of information from the focal points of tourist attraction identified, such as Otoni Mesquita (1999, 2019), Durango Duarte (2009, 2012), Ellza Souza (2010), Isaac Sousa Meirelles (2004) and Euclides da Cunha (1999). The present study had as general goal to evaluate the potential tourist attractions present on the border of the city, as an alternative for the format of a waterway tourist route. Among the specific goals was: i) to identify in Border's landscape potential tourist attractions based on Boullón's theory (2002) related to focal points; ii) to describe relevant data and information on the identified attractions; iii) to submit a proposal for a tourism itinerary to contemplate the landscape to the urban border of Manaus. The research based on primary sources was done in an exploratory-descriptive way with the technique of intensive direct observation, with participation in two scripts realized in the year 2016, as student of the discipline; and in the year of 2018, as invited to carry out the research. In secondary sources, information was collected in the bibliography of local authors and virtual research. The results indicate that, nonetheless of the negative impacts generated by man in border's natural environment, the elements in the landscape represent the cultural diversity present in the Manauara identity. In this context, the research is expected to contribute to the tourism trade, based on the offer of a river tourism itinerary that portrays the origins and history of Manaus, from the objects materialized in the cultural landscape Border of the Manaus.
