O comportamento sexual do adolescente e o risco de Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis

Identify studies that point out how adolescent sexual behavior may present as a risk factor for the acquisition of an STI. Method: to carry out this review the following steps were performed using the PICO strategy, the search of the studies was performed in PubMed and LiLacs databases. We selected studies that had Brazilian adolescents as subjects, that were in agreement with the determined period of time of up to 10 years of publication and that they had complete text available for the analysis. Results: 19 articles were analyzed. These studies have included the following themes: knowledge on sexuality and reproductive health, risk factors, prevalence studies, adolescent living with HIV, and methodological approach. The studies analyzed indicated that adolescents who had early sexual initiation, low schooling and a lower economic level are more vulnerable to adopting sexual risk behaviors and are unaware of the forms of infection and treatment of STIs. Conclusion: risky sexual behavior may lead to an increase in STI infections in adolescents due to unprotected sexual practices or the adoption of unsafe activities to their health. Information, knowledge of STIs and the adoption of healthy behaviors seem to be fundamental for changes in adolescent behavior
