    As dificuldades do sistema prisional e a ressocialização do apenado no Estado do Amazonas

    ABSTRACT: The purpose of this article is to stimulate studies and questioning related to the prison system in the State of Amazonas. To do so, an historical analysis of incarceration in Brazil and related legislation was made, in order to allow the examination of the current scenario of incarceration, of the conditions for punishment compliance and the repercussion it brings to the person convicted and to their process of social reinsertion. Based on the analyzed data, it was possible to draw a sociodemographic profile of the Amazonas population predominantly imprisoned and the number of people under State custody, which enabled to conclude that the phenomena of “criminalization of poverty” and state of unconstitutional things are present. Beyond that, the statistics enabled the identification of the main challenges for the State of Amazonas in the context of resocialization of imprisoned people. Keywords: Prison System.     O nível de escolaridade dos integrantes das agências policiais e um paralelo com a Polícia Militar do Estado do Amazonas

    The level of schooling of public security agents is a recurring theme in the current democratic state of law, where less use of force and more use of technique is expected. In this way, this article discusses the theoretical currents that attest the benefits of the superior level for the public security agents. The objective of this research was to identify the level of education as a factor of improvement in the profile of the members of the police agencies and as such aspect positively influences the work of these professionals, besides knowing the Brazilian panorama of the military police about the educational factor and, discuss the reality in the state of Amazonas. The research has a quantitative-descriptive character and was used exclusively from the bibliographic survey. It was possible to identify a movement of improvement of the level of education of the military police that concentrates exclusively in the career of officers; at the regional level, access multidoors in the state of Amazonas had been identified, and the upper level did not prevail as a single requirement. It was concluded that - in spite of the innumerable advantages it grants to the professional - the superior level in Brazil is not yet unison as a requirement for the career of the police agencies.
