O Vai e Vem Das Águas De Várzea: (Re) Inventando Práticas, Saberes e Aprendizagens na Agricultura Familiar

This monograph investigates the transformations of agricultural practices in three communities of Várzea in the municipality of Tefé: Santa Maria, Santa Cruz and Santa Clara, seeking to bring the experiences of the subjects who (res) meant their ways of life. We try to give voice through oral history to the category of farmers who have long been marginalized from history, demonstrating their relevance as holders of knowledge that has much to contribute to the economic, social and cultural development of the region. In this sense, through the trajectory of the deponents, we seek to investigate in the context of a capitalist order the process (re) elaboration in agricultural practices, the social, economic and cultural aspects inserted in this dynamics, as well as the protagonism of the subjects that as active social agents they also knew how to respond to this new order. In turn, as the water comes and goes and brings the elements to give life to the land, farmers have followed this dynamic, leaving and incorporating the necessary ingredients to make sense of their existence, so we are not working at a loss of practices, knowledge and learning, but with (re) signification.
