Item Carpintaria naval e sistema territorial uma análise a partir do estaleiro do Eraldo – Parintins (AM)(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2017-10-20) Fonseca, ValderlaneThis study deals with the work carried out in an artisanal shipyard in the city of Parintins-Am, where it was sought to analyze the case of the Eraldo Shipyard, that is, to know how it is organized within a space starting from the territorial approach. practices and the process of territorialization. The subjects investigated were the owner of the shipyard and its workers. It was noticed that the naval carpentry in the shipyard has a very visible informality, where it is located the river bank, the work environment is very rustic with some adaptations for the development of the work. This cultural economic activity, passed over time by master holders of knowledge and skills that disseminate the practice of building boats to their families and those who are willing to learn the profession. The division of labor takes place with the master, carpenter, caulk and apprentice, the main raw material is wood, the techniques are very old, passed from generation to generation with no significant change. The work carried out in the artisanal yard is a work that is beyond a merely productive activity, the creativity of the master and handmade carpenters inherited over time by their families makes the regional boats arise. These boats are the main means of transport, because it is in them that the people of the region transit in the rivers of the Amazon.
