Having as main objective to map the archaeological sites of the city of Parintins-AM, this research, of location and georeferenced record of the archaeological sites, made us realize that Parintins has great potential for studies in the area of archeology for presenting several places that present varied archaeological vestiges. such as: Terra Preta de Índio (TPI), outcropped ceramic shards, private collections of ceramics and lithics (vassels and shards, lithic artifacts) and landscape composition of archaeological sites, with different types of trees that demonstrate anthropogenic transformation. Fifteen (15) communities that make up the rural area of Parintins were visited, and of these, eleven (11) present archaeological material and (4) four did not present any trace, and only nine (09) locations could be georeferenced, and that can be visualized in the final map of the survey. The places cataloged and their appropriate information recorded aim to constitute a database capable of subsidizing research in different areas of knowledge in a multidisciplinary way, such as: archeology, history, geography, physics, chemistry, etc. Well, one of the findings we made when we started this research was the little academic production on the vast concentration of archaeological remains in the region of Parintins, however, people from different communities in the municipality report the presence of archaeological evidence in these places.
