O eu e o outro: um estudo de contos de Borges a partir da teoria enunciativa de Émile Benveniste

Abstract

In Jorge Luis Borges' short stories, subjectivity and otherness are evidenced in different ways forms, which also occurs through the presence of the duplicate, whether the same or not. In this way, the present study aims to verify how it operatesa relationship between the self and the other in selected short stories of Borges, namely: "The shape of the sword" and "The other", through the idea of subjectivity and intersubjectivity represented in Émile Benveniste's enunciative theory, especially from his pronominal system (I/thou/him).
