Resumo
The present study focuses on the area of High Abilities or Giftedness (HA/G)
and Curricular Enrichment, considering the organization of pedagogical work in a
Specialized Educational Service (SE) for this public. As the general objective of this
study, we point out: to understand how curricular enrichment can stimulate the learning
of students with High Abilities or Giftedness, and as specific objectives: (1) Understand
what HA/G is and the development characteristics of subjects with this profile; (2)
Investigate what Curricular Enrichment is and its contributions to the learning of
students with High Abilities or Giftedness (HA/G); (3) Know how to develop Curricular
Enrichment in pedagogical practices with students with HA/G. The research was
conducted in a Specialized Educational Service Center, located in the downtown area
of the city of Manaus, where curricular enrichment activities are offered to students
with HA/G indicators. In this perspective, it was possible to analyze the impacts that
this pedagogical proposal causes on the learning and development of students with
this phenomenon, in the light of the conceptions of educators who work in this SE. The
research methodology opted for a qualitative approach, with an exploratory study and
bibliographical and field research. For data analysis, the content analysis method was
used and as a data collection instrument, the semi-structured interview was used. In
this way, the present work provided us with an understanding of the importance of
stimuli for students with HA/G through Curricular Enrichment in an SE.
