Resumo

The National Policy for Comprehensive Women's Health Care (PNAISM) is a guideline of the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS), which seeks to promote women's health at all stages of their lives. It was created to ensure the inclusion of women in public health policies, considering their biological, social, and cultural particularities. PNAISM aims to promote equity, reduce gender inequalities, and improve the quality of life of women in Brazil. Thus, the present study aims to: Analyze the publications of women's health care protocols in the literature of the last 5 years within the perspective of the National Health Policy in Brazil. Method: This is an integrative literature review with a quantitative approach, with bibliographic research in the different databases PubMed, BIREME, Medline, and SciELO search portal, in the period 2019-2024, where 702 articles related to the topic were found. Results: After applying the inclusion criteria, 18 articles were selected and analyzed, 13 of which presented a qualitative approach, 11 of which were based on interviews. Most of the studies were written by Brazilian authors and addressed different aspects of women's health in different regions of the country, mainly from a public health perspective (Primary Care, Family Health Strategy, etc.). Conclusion: According to the authors reviewed, although the protocols are formulated and widely recognized in the studies, their practical implementation faces significant barriers, such as lack of resources, insufficient training of health professionals, and the difficulty of adapting care to different cultural and social contexts.
