Resumo

The analytical study on risk factors involving diabetes and hypertension allows knowledge about the body's metabolic changes, which are related to different lifestyle and environmental habits. The predominance of obesity and overweight has had a drastic increase in the world and the situation worsened after the COVID-19 pandemic, reaching all social classes well. in developed and developing countries. food consumption with high cholesterol content, alcoholic beverages, smoking, sedentary lifestyle and psychological factors influencing personal behavior are considered. some of the causes of Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) and impairment of quality of life. Therefore, the justifications that moved the research was to assess the prevalence of overweight and obesity in college students, analyze family history for hypertension and diabetes, and observe the practice of physical activity. Anthropometric measurements were taken and the resolution of the questionnaire, with all volunteers. 87 academics of the Licentiate Degree in Biological Sciences, with age group from 19 to 40 years old, from the University of the State of Amazonas – Escola Normal Superior, located in Manaus-AM.
