A territorialidade da segurança pública nos município de Iranduba, Manacapuru e Rio Preto da Eva no Amazonas

Abstract

This work brings reflections on the Territoriality of Public Security in 3 (three) municipalities in the metropolitan region of Manaus, namely: Manacapuru, Iranduba and Rio Preto da Eva, envisioning a discussion about the proportion between the military police force and the population in these places. In order to critically analyze the proportionality data between the military police force and the population of these municipalities. Thus, data were sought to corroborate the elucidation of the theme, along with some of the intuitions that are part of the State Public Security System and in the investigated municipalities, which would provide the identification of the increase or not of crime, in order to identify the current conjuncture of the conditions of one of the institutions that deal with the safety of the Amazonian society, the Military Police of the State of Amazonas and the reflection of this on society. Finally, there was a discussion about the works that deal with the regulation of parameters between the police force and the population of these places, the number of police officers needed for a certain amount of population, comparing them to the reality of security experienced in these municipalities, in the intention to bring to the public the picture of public security today and the real need for the performance of these agents, thus seeking to suggest possible solutions to this problem. The results found point to a police deficit in the three municipalities, the displacement of the military from Manaus to these municipalities, increasing the territoriality of action of the police in the capital, the increase in crime and types of crimes similar to those that occurred in the Manauara metropolis due to the approximation of this with Iranduba, Manacapuru and Rio Preto da Eva.
