Resumo
School practice during the academic life is an important contribution to the professional life of the teacher. The purpose of this article was to discuss the importance of teaching practice in the classroom in the initial formation of the History teacher, taking into account the technical competence based on the training period to act as a teacher. For the scientific basis, we opted for a bibliographic research of an exploratory nature, since it considered a relevant topic of questioning in other works already published. The article consists of three chapters, the first chapter brings a brief approach on the importance of teaching History in the classroom as an important factor for the formation of student identity, the second, addresses the importance of teaching practice in initial training of the History teacher bringing to the discussion the importance of classroom practice for the student-teacher and the third, describes the practice of internship in the academic classroom during the initial formation of the history teacher, addressing methodological aspects of teaching- learning of the local reality. Final considerations: The practice of teaching history is not easy, there are a number of factors that contribute to both its improvement and its difficulty, the lack of technological resources, uncreative teaching methods, and even local festivities may contribute for a deficiency in teaching-learning.
