Resumo
Fragmentation can cause abrupt changes in biotic conditions
and abiotics in forest fragments. This process can change the dynamics in the
composition of populations and communities. The disturbances caused by
fragmentation, can be studied through knowledge of biodiversity
of ants, because they are able to respond to the stress of the environment and
because they have great distribution and abundance. The purpose of this work
evaluate the influence of environmental variables, width of the shallow end and distance from the
nearest edge over ground ant assemblages in an area of
forest fragment. The collections were carried out in the period of September 2012,
on the UFAM campus, along 10 riparian parcels. the ants were
captured with the aid of pit-fall traps, with 10 traps per plot.
All analyzes were performed using the R software (R Core Team, 2019).
In total, 1,639 ants were identified, distributed in five subfamilies,
24 genera and 57 species/morphospecies. The registered subfamilies were
Myromycine, Formicae, Ectatomminae, Ponerinae and Dorylinae. pheidole,
Camponotus and Crematogaster were the most rich genera. THE
composition, frequency and species richness is distributed in a manner
uniform over the 10 parcels present in the fragment, not being
directly influenced by the effects caused by fragmentation..
Keywords: fragmentation, myrmecofauna, interactions.
