Abstract

The methodologies for the observation of phenological phases are important for data crossing, as they have characteristics of complementation, being interesting the use of several methodologies for the evaluation of these processes. Your determination may go through different methodologies, being able to assess both quantitative and qualitative aspects, as is the case of Bencke and Morellato (2002) who verified the phenology through the percentage of the Fournier index, which allows you to calculate based on the scales from (0 to 4) each of these with up to 25% of the intensity of the phenophases of an individual. Another method, called activity index, concerns absence or presence of phenophase, and it can be quantified at the population level if that phenological event is appearing or not within a community.
