Resumo
This research, of qualitative approach, presents as theme the
Assistive Technology in teaching geometry to visually impaired students
in basic education. It seeks, through this, to highlight the contributions that
Assistive Technology brings to the teaching and learning of the
geometry content for these students, in order to promote their autonomy in performing common
autonomy in performing common activities in regular education classes. A
literature review, in this research, considered studies related to
geometry teaching and school inclusion, using Assistive Technologies.
Assistive Technology. In the pedagogical intervention, mathematical concepts were addressed
Geometry: Lines, points, plan, vertices and construction of geometric shapes
geometric shapes, with an 8th grade student of the Elementary School of a municipal
school, and another student of the 1st year of high school, the State Secretariat of
Education of Amazonas (SEDUC), both in the city of Manaus, which had
with two visually impaired students. For the development of the activities,
adapted didactic material was elaborated, to help blind students. After the
application of the activities, it was possible to observe the contribution of the use of
Assistive Technology for teaching geometry, especially, the flat the students
with visual impairment, allowing them to understand and learn mathematical
mathematical concepts.
