Resumo
One of the novelties of the fifth generation of mobile networks is the use of Be amforming for higher frequencies of the spectrum such as millimeter waves (mmWave),
which can be used by telecommunications systems and devices, with a good range provided
by the use of the Beamforming directive beam. This project aims to design through simu lation an array of antennas with the proper characteristics to form the beamforming and
make comparisons with the conventional isotropic antenna used in devices that work in the
IEEE 802.11 standard. For this, fundamental properties of antennas such as gain, beam
width and bandwidth, and IEEE 802.11 standard settings, such as transmission power,
link sensitivity, frequency and the signal irradiation diagram are addressed, simulated and
measured.
