Resumo
This work aims to discuss the experiences in the classroom during Supervised Internship I and the Pedagogical Residency Program (History/CESP/UEA center) developed at the Professor Aderson de Menezes State School. We address the discussion on the issue of environmental problems arising from urban growth in History classes. For this research, we used as a basis the methodological procedure developed through bibliographic and exploratory research, pointing out some ideas from authors who address the concept of urbanization and who reflect on the field of education such as Milton Santos (1993) and Paulo Freire (1996) . We concluded that in the application of the Pedagogical Residency project it was possible to make students understand the problems related to the subject by reflecting on the environmental impacts in the city (garbage collection, floods, lack of structure in the neighborhoods), since it is necessary that the school addresses the challenges that the municipality of Parintins has in relation to the urbanization process and the increase in waste production.
