Sustentabilidade e modernidade na comunidade de Bom Socorro do Zé Açu município de Parintins

Abstract

This article sought to understand the main consequences of the rural and urban relationship in the community of Bom Socorro do Zé Açu, located in the municipality of Parintins-AM. The community has been going through a process of changes in its spatial and sociocultural structure, however, these changes that occur in rural areas are inherent to the arrival of aspects of modern life, causing transformations. Based on these changes, we sought to point out how this intensification of the rural and urban relationship (city/country) affects the sustainability of this community. A survey was carried out with the application of forms, participant observation, individual and collective interviews, which allowed us to identify the problems in their social, economic, cultural and environmental dimensions. There is little presence of environmental agencies and research institutes to prevent/mitigate these problems that affect the community's way of life. Therefore, the main task of this work was to seek possible paths to sustainability in the territory of Zé Açu that will help to guarantee the balance between the ecosystems and the subjects that use them.
