Resumo
The purpose of this writing is to “Relationship environment and society in geography teaching: analysis of the environmental perception of the students of São José Municipal School, of the lake of Zé Açú-Parintins / AM”. Seeking to determine if household waste is disposed of properly and what is the care taken by the community regarding the issue; identifying the importance of fishing and agriculture in the community and observe how the teaching of geography has been developed from an environmental conception of citizen formation. Amazonian communities have been reconfiguring, riverside/rural and urban living intertwine, in the thriving geography in the middle of the Amazon rainforest. This writing is based on the studies by Dias (2004) and Loureiro (2006) regarding Environmental Education; Brandão (1998) and Paulo Freire (1996) in the face of citizen formation. The teaching of geography in the studies of Cavalcante (2002) and Lopes (2008); Silva (2004) analyzes Amazonian education in its colonial historical process. Solid waste, in Brazil's reflections (2010) and Santos (2002), in the legal preamble, constituted by Law 12.305 (PNRS) and Silva (2015), addressing the transformations and permanences in the modes of social production of rural and riverside communities in the municipality of Parintins. The research was of a qualitative nature Bogdan and Biklen (1994), having as research technique the field research, participant observation, application of questionnaires and open interviews. Dialectical approach, by the natural transformations of space time. The research universe includes 43 students from the São José Municipal School in the Boa Esperança Community. The School still needs to develop practices that actually realize a consciousness not only of its subjects, but of the world; found that the community does not have proper disposal of solid waste, which leads to small outbreaks of junkies, most of the disposal is done by an action prohibited by law, burning, but since this has been a regular practice and performed for many years, such a practice can hardly be curbed; regarding the importance of fishing and agriculture, it was found that agriculture has a higher relevance among respondents, since it is the primary means of economy of the Good Hope community, and the productive highlight is the banana, and the flour manufacturing, fishing is commonly used for family consumption, fishing for economic purposes is done far from the community, Since in the face of field research, it was realized that many complain about the scarcity of fish. Given the reflections the teaching of geography, Allied to environmental education is of paramount importance for the awareness and sensibility in the citizen formation.
