Hábitos alimentares e ocupação da Vila Submarino no Bairro da Francesa da cidade de Parintins-AM

Abstract

The present work had to understand the occupation and eating habits of low-income families in Vila Submarina in the city of Parintins. The study in question also aims to identify the profile of the residents; analyze how the occupation of this place happened and diagnose their eating habits. The methodology for the construction of the work was through the deductive method for a better understanding of the reality of the participants, the qualiquatitative research method was also used, where we sought to understand the reasons for the occupation and their eating habits, from a local contextualization, according to their socio-economic conditions, in addition, bibliographic surveys were made on the subject. The field practice used structured questionnaires with open and closed questions. The results showed the existence of low-income families, families that have lived in the location for over 35 years, and the age range varies from 20-29 years to 60-69 years. The residents suffer from flooding, animals such as cockroaches, rats and others, in addition to the food that for many of these residents is not enough to supply a nutritious diet. In this sense, a decent diet and housing is everyone's right, because it is essential for the promotion and protection of human health, but unfortunately in our city it is little guaranteed. Thus, information about these occupations is relevant for investigating the reasons that led residents to seek this area and for understanding the dietary changes that have been occurring in this locality.
