Organização socioespacial da ocupação nova conquista em Parintins/AM direito à moradia

Abstract

In recent decades there have been several occupations in the municipality of Parintins. To understand this process, the organization and the challenges of a place to live, this work describes how the occupation emerged, was organized and constituted as a settlement. The fragility of public housing policies in the Municipality of Parintins forces low-income families to resort to irregular occupations. The work presents the socio-spatial organization of the Nova Conquista occupation and the challenges faced by the residents. The research had the general objective of understanding the socio-spatial transformations of Ocupação Nova Conquista, in Parintins-AM. With specific objectives, identifying the organizational process of the space occupied from streets and houses; verify socio-economic conditions based on types of residences; analyze the positive and negative aspects regarding occupation/housing. The method was inductive, regarding the nature of basic research, followed by observational descriptive objectives. Bibliographic and documentary research procedures. Among the results, we observed the organization of the community and social actions that strengthen the movement, the fragility of housing, diseases arising from the lack of basic sanitation and the lack of medical care, as well as other services essential to the quality of life of residents. . The need for public authorities to direct attention to low-income families in the locality became evident. It is important to promote housing programs and public policies aimed at improving the quality of life of these people by providing opportunities in fundamental areas such as employment, education, health and leisure.
