Relação urbano/rural na comunidade Santa Rita de Cássia – Valéria no município de Parintins-AM

Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the rural/urban relationship in the Santa Rita de Cássia da Valéria community, located between the border of the states of Amazonas and Pará, in order to analyze the urban elements present in the community. , where we observe not only the qualities, but also the quantities of urban elements and their relationships, adopting historical and dialectical materialism to elaborate analyzes of past and current production processes in the community. For that, we used the application of questionnaires, informal conversations and extensive bibliography on the subject distributed throughout the work in some stages. The first is limited to the history of the community and the cultural part. Afterwards, we set out to try to understand rural and urban, conceptualizing and differentiating them. From then onwards, we elaborated reflections on the ways of life found in the community, by describing how this is present in local families. At another moment, the types of housing in the community, the most consumed industrialized products and the eating habits of the residents, the use of the river, the means of transport, the frequency with which residents go to the city and the family income were observed. of these. Finally, the results obtained are highlighted, highlighting that the community has a greater rural characteristic, with a significant presence of the urban in the midst of its reproduction, however, this does not imply the disappearance of the rural, considering that even the urban exerting influences , the rural way of life crystallizes in the community.
