Música e musicalização na educação infantil: a música clássica e a prática docente no centro educacional infantil Novo Israel em Parintins-AM

Abstract

The present work entitled: “Music and musicalization in Early Childhood Education: Classical music and teaching practice at Novo Israel Children’s Education Center in Parintins-AM” aims to understand how teachers can use classical music in the classroom in order to contribute to the integral development of children. The main theoretical references that we used to support the construction of this study were authors such as: Ariès (1986); Brito (2003); Cascarelli (2012); Duarte (2010); Gil (2002); Kramer (2002); Paviani (2009); Priore (2010); Severino (2007); Triviños (1987) among others. This research is qualitative in nature with an action-research approach. The research participants were 11 teachers of Early Childhood Education aged between 33 and 52 years and their teaching experience varies between 03 to 20 years. The research data were built from a structured interview, using the questionnaire and the realization of a music workshop entitled: "Practical experiences with classical music in the classroom" and its realization also aimed at data collection and pedagogical intervention. The results of this research point to possibilities to work with a musical genre little explored in the children's educational context: classical music, so that teachers know and give their children the opportunity to learn about other musical genres, so that the contact with the different enhances the social formation child in its full development.
