Abstract

This material, the result of the work of postgraduate students (stricto sensu) in urban biology at Nilton Lins University, aims to fill a gap in the approach to health within the classroom and, in parallel, support the college entrance exams. The work exposes it in a didactic way the main urban diseases caused by viruses and protozoa, also allowing the integration with the knowledge discussed throughout basic education, such as ecology, environment, among others.
