Resumo

The series of transformations that have taken place in recent years have affected both schools and as well as the modality aimed at children with disabilities assisted in specialized educational institutions. These changes made it necessary rethink curricula, methods, techniques and educational resources. By means of questionnaires applied to five teachers from four schools in the city, it was possible to verify the availability of didactic resources and how they are applied to the teaching of Story for visually impaired students, showing the importance of using them, also reflecting on the difficulties of the teacher in dealing with the student who cannot follow classes as they should, being often discriminated against and left out without any help.
