Resumo
Dental trauma, especially in the anterior region, represents one of the main demands in
emergency dental care, with significant aesthetic, functional, and psychosocial
repercussions. This study aimed to report and discuss the use of a direct autogenous
adhesive prosthesis of provisional character as a restorative alternative in cases of tooth
avulsion. It is a clinical case report in which, after the traumatic avulsion of the maxillary left
central incisor, an atraumatic extraction was performed followed by the use of the patient’s
natural crown, which underwent extraoral endodontic treatment and was fixed with a
fiberglass post and composite resin. The technique allowed immediate restoration of
aesthetics and masticatory function, as well as preservation of the alveolus for future implant
placement, satisfactorily addressing both clinical and emotional needs. The results
demonstrate that the direct autogenous adhesive prosthesis, even as a provisional
approach, is a conservative, accessible, and highly aesthetic solution, proving to be a viable
option in emergency situations and in cases requiring rapid and efficient provisional
rehabilitation.
