A produção de resíduos solídos na comunidade do Laguinho do Andirá, Barreirinha/AM

Abstract

This paper presents a study on the production of solid waste in the rural community of Laguinho do Andirá, belonging to the municipality of Barreirinha, Amazonas. The research aimed to investigate the production and final destination of solid waste in the location, considering both quantitative and qualitative aspects related to the production, disposal and management of waste. The methodology used included field research for data collection, as well as a literature review to support the analysis. The results obtained present valuable insights and understandings about current waste management practices and their implications for the community, highlighting challenges and opportunities for improving the situation. Thus, it is expected that this study will contribute to a deeper understanding of the problem of solid waste in the rural community of Laguinho do Andirá and provide support for the development of effective environmental management and local sustainability strategies seeking solutions that are adapted to the rural reality, that consider local needs, promoting sustainability and improving the quality of life of the people living in the community.
