Resumo
This Course Completion Work has as its theme: Anti-racist education in the school environment: an analysis from the law 10.639/2003 at the Municipal School “Mércia Cardoso Coimbra” in Parintins-AM, this research aims to analyze how the referred school works the questions anti-racists according to the precepts proposed in law 10.639/03, as well as to investigate the conception of teachers regarding the devices that govern law 10.639/03; identify whether the school works with curriculum content based on what law 10.639/03 proposes, for an anti-racist education and investigate whether there are difficulties in working with the provisions of the law related to its application. The methodology used in the elaboration of this study consists primarily of a bibliographical research, through readings of authors such as Gomes (2011), Pantoja (2004), Souza (2012), among others, being of a phenomenological approach and of a qualitative nature, using observation, the application of questionnaires and the elaboration of tables were used as data collection instruments. And as final results, it was found that only one teacher among those surveyed is unaware of law 10.639/03 and it was evidenced that the school promotes the application of law 10.639/03 in the school day-to-day, in addition to developing interdisciplinary projects according to commemorative dates to work on ethnic-racial issues through various themes.
