Resumo

This paper aims to analyze the novel The Savage Detectives (1998), by in the light of Mikhail Bakhtin's ideas, especially regarding the study of voices in the novel and the the voices in the novel and the question of the other-self, and Theordor Adorno, especially to understand the understand the question of the situation of the contemporary novel. To achieve the purposes the analysis is divided into three parts, which aim to highlight the three levels of relations that the second part of the novel relations that the second part of the novel develops: the first being the narrators and character-author; the second aims to highlight the isonomous relationship of the accounts with each other and the third the relationship of the narrators with the protagonists, Ulises Lima and Arturo Belano.
