Resumo
This article is an expansion of scientific initiation research (PAIC/FAPEAM/UEA) that investigates quilombola trajectories on the Andirá River. These are some interviews carried out with quilombola women from the Andirá river, in the Santa Tereza do Matupiri community. In total, we have five interviews carried out in November 2018, using oral history methodology (MEIHY, 2005; ALBERT, 2011). These are narratives that allow understanding of the struggles and resistance of women within the quilombos, with the main focus being the struggles undertaken by the former president of the Federation of Quilombola Organizations of Barreirinha - FOQB and current coordinator of the quilombos of Andirá, by Maria Amélia de Castro. Analyzing his life trajectory allows us to understand the silencing, patriarchy, existing conflicts, struggles and resistance in quilombos. Systematized readings on black protagonism, mainly on the struggles of black women in social movements, showing that the quilombo is a struggle, where women take the lead to obtain rights. In this way, Maria Amélia Castro's life trajectory highlights the different roles of women in the Andirá River quilombo. It highlights the resistance of quilombola women to understanding their socio-political struggles, but also to understanding the silences imposed on them historically.
