Abstract

The numerical expressions given in the 7th year of elementary school, are a puzzle for the students, they have a certain care for their resolution, in view of the students' limitations regarding the 4 operations fundamentals, rule of signs, fractions, potentiation and rooting. This research intends to contribute to student learning by applying a methodology that simplify daily school life, using information technology, especially the Excel, to show students how to solve numerical expressions by doing the use of this software. The Excel spreadsheet was the program chosen because it is a tool that provides greater flexibility in calculations, verification of results different in the expressions when the priority orders of resolution of operations and signals. As some schools do not have a computer laboratory for the application of this proposal, in which case it may be using the Excel application on the cell phone.
