Impactos da Vazante de 2023 na Comunidade Nossa Senhora de Nazaré - Paraná do Limão - Parintins/AM

Abstract

This Article aims to understand the main impacts caused by the ebb of rivers on riverside residents, specifically in the Nossa Senhora de Nazaré community in Paraná do Limão, as well as identifying how water is supplied, types of food consumed by riverside residents and the period of trafficability of vessels on the river, through data collection from community residents, forms of water supply, food consumed and period of trafficability of vessels on the river through data collection, considering that it has become atypical and more recurrent in the region from the Amazon. Part of this research is a bibliographical survey that was developed based on already prepared material, organized mainly from books and scientific articles. The work was divided into three stages, the first: bibliographical survey, search for theses and articles theoretically supporting the discussion of the topic discussed. In the second stage: diagnostic survey and field observation, exploration of the experience in the community of Nazaré, in Paraná do Limão, dialogues with the community's residents to understand how each of them adapted during this period. And thirdly: Analysis of data collected through analysis of theoretical knowledge and data collected from the community. The results indicate that the dynamics of the flood and ebb of the rivers have presented themselves as a challenge for the riverside dwellers, since the community is located in a floodplain area, highlighting impacts on the way of life of the riverine dwellers in the community, use of the river for fishing, as a means of transport and distribution of food, water supply and the duration of the drought, and for this, riverside dwellers seek the most diverse types of adaptability to survive during the ebb and flood period.
