Resumo
This work sought a reflection on indigenous women in
in the middle Solimões region. In the course of the desired results,
a documentary survey with the Indigenous Missionary Council (CIMI),
especially in minutes and documents published on the Internet, via institutional website.
Documents were also consulted on other websites, as well as data analysis
Bibliographic. Indigenous women from the middle Solimões have been active since
the late 1980s, but different people pass the movement, in the 1990s and
in part of the first decade of 2000, they (as a political organization) became more
dependence on the larger indigenous movement, on the general struggles of the peoples of this region,
however, in 2009were able to organize through the Women's Association
Indigenous Peoples of the Middle Solimões and Affluents (AMIMSA), this association boosted
debates, reflections and actions directed to women's lives. We also noticed that
participation of women has grown in recent years, they are significantly
present in the actions of assemblies, workshops, meetings, etc. Therefore, we consider that
the indigenous women's movement is important in this region, which has gained strength
since the 1990s, and follows the indigenous struggles that grow with the constitution of
1988, both in the fight and enforcement of the rights of the original peoples in general, as well as in the
women and their demands, in a particular way.
