Composição florística e estrutura de trepadeiras e epífitas vasculares sobre espécimes de caiaués (Elaeis oleifera (Kunth) Cortés) e dendezeiros (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) em um fragmento florestal na Amazônia central

Abstract

This study was carried out in a forest fragment located in the urban area of Manaus, AM. The objective of this work was to characterize the floristic composition and structure of epiphytes and vines on two ornamental palm species, Elaeis oleifera (Kunth) Cortés and Elaeis guineensis Jacq. present on the INPA campus. Species that show height from 50 cm above the ground were included in the sampling. For the epiphytes, 4 families, 5 genera and 5 species were identified, and hemiepiphytes were found 2 species of the genus Ficus. For herbaceous vines, 3 families, 3 genera and 4 species were registered. For lianas 3 families, 3 genera and 3 species. For nomadic vines, the Araceae family represented the 3 identified species. Thus, in addition to the landscape importance that species of the genus Elaeis have in the urban region, they present essential ecological associations for the maintenance of flora and fauna in forest and urban environments.
