Concepções de mulheres no climatério sobre o atendimento na atenção primária em saúde

Abstract

To unveil the perception of climacteric women about the care offered in a Basic Health Unit (BHU) in Manaus. Method: Descriptive exploratory study with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through an interview, guided by a semi-structured form from June to July 2023, in a Basic Health Unit (BHU) in the southern district of Manaus. Data analysis was carried out through content analysis, in the thematic modality. Results: 10 women participated in the study, most have elementary school, are working women, married, with income between 1 and 2 minimum wages and did not practice physical activity. It is noted that the participants are unaware of the climacteric, but recognize the clinical manifestations pertinent to premenopause and menopause; they seek UBS for other demands; they claim to be well attended by service professionals. Final Considerations: It is necessary that the upper management can review the actions in the care of climacteric women, in the perspective of a specialized, holistic treatment and respecting the singularity of each one
