Abstract

The purpose of this work is to know the work of women artisans from Tefé - AM and their participation in the world of work from the historiographical studies of the place and to present to the academy the performance of women still invisible in history. The methodology of our work follows the contribution of history that requires a dense and reflective reading through the authors on the mentioned topic (THOMPSON, 1988) punctuating the place of women in the Middle Solimões economy and craftsmanship as a concept not purely aesthetic, but , craftsmanship as weaves of thought from our inflections. Thus, we see the importance of women entrepreneurs for society, since their participation in the economy generates income and jobs. In addition, we perceive their contribution to contemporary society, by managing multiple journeys between family and work, becoming autonomous. Although there are existing inequalities between genders, women have conquered their place in the local economy and consequently in the State. If we still think that women's work is of less importance than men, because it brings other perspectives, such as work more focused on the solidarity economy, where together they fight for the same interests, or even that has its key point in survival. of the family, it is important to emphasize that they have always contributed with the household income and today, more than ever, it is women who support their homes. They are hands that in the craftsmanship of life are reconstructing and building stories.
